The interest sparked in my early twenties where I was usually the only one with a camera in hand at all the family gatherings. I later became interested in the darkroom, experimenting with my father’s 35mm Mamiya film cameras and processing Kodachrome film in the darkroom of my parents’ printing business after school. Manipulating the highlight areas and shadows during the film developing process was intriguing. Each strip of film was pinned to a line to dry, backlit by the red darkroom lights.

Fast forward to the digital camera age, I took those self-taught basics and applied them to the digital post-processing of my captures, essentially creating unique art.

​

With a keen eye for composition, my personal style is detailed and colorful, as seen in the beautiful images in each of the galleries on this website.

Birds & Wildlife

Capturing wildlife requires persistence and lots of patience. I spend a great deal of time observing and capturing the behavior of different species. In doing so, you anticipate the next movement of the bird – when it will launch into flight, when it spots a fish, even a territorial display – you get to know their movements!

​

Landscapes:

Blue hour and golden hour are my favorite times of day for shooting landscapes (isn’t that the same for every photographer?). I am fortunate to live right on the beach, so it just requires stepping outside. I do enjoy an early morning drive to Central Florida to find the perfect scene to create a memory of.

​

Portraiture:

I capture life’s most unforgettable moments using the best camera and lens combinations, coupled with posing techniques, constant lighting and off-camera flash to produce captivating results. With top-notch editing techniques and the digital excellence to manipulate any image to take it from good to excellent, rest assured you’ll look your natural best!

Led a group of photographers as hands-on practice for mastering the camera settings necessary to capture birds in flight.
